Allu Arjun, who has been in the news due to the release of ‘Pushpa 2, has been arrested in connection to stampede death tragedy. On December 4, a woman died and her son got critically injured during the screening of ‘Pushpa 2’ in the Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad. Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has shown support towards Allu Arjun but also called the incident ‘heartbreaking’.
While promoting ‘Baby John’ in Jaipur, Varun Dhawan said, “There are safety protocols. An actor cannot take everything upon himself. We can tell people around us. Like I can talk about today. Cinepolis has done a great arrangement here and we are grateful to them for that. The tragedy that took place is very heartbreaking. I’m very sorry. Sending my condolences. But at the same time, I think aap blame sirf ek insaan pe nahi daal sakte (you cannot put the blame on just one person).”
Meanwhile, the victim’s husband Bhaskhar recently shared that he will withdraw the case against Allu Arjun. He said, “I am ready to withdraw the case. I was not aware of the arrest and Allu Arjun has nothing to do with the stampede in which my wife passed away.”
After his arrest from Jubilee Hills home, Allu was allegedly taken to the Chikkadapally police station for further questioning. His wife Sneha Reddy and father Allu Aravind were also present at the time. Now, he has been sent to a 14-day judicial custody in the case.
The actor earlier shared his grief after hearing about his tragic incident and announced the donation of Rs 25 lakhs to the victim’s family. Sharing the video on X, Allu Arjun wrote, “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.”
