Pushpa 2: The Rule actor Allu Arjun was arrested by the Hyderabad Police on Friday following a stampede in the city that resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman.
The incident occurred at the iconic Sandhya Theatre in RTC X Cross Roads, Hyderabad, during a screening of the Sukumar-directed film on December 4. Three other people including the the owner of the theatre were earlier arrested in the case.
Allu, who was arrested from his Banjara Hill Home, has been taken to Chikkadapally police station. The actor had previously announced financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the family of the deceased woman.

Viral Video Of His Arrest
A video has been going viral on social media, which shows Allu Arjun objectifying to the manner in which he was taken into custody. He was heard telling cops that he was taken from bedroom, and he requested the police to allow him to finish his breakfast before being escorted away.
The video also shows his wife Sneha Reddy and father, Allu Aravind talking to him, as he moves out of the building with a cup of team in his hand.

All About The Stampede Incident
The makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule had organised a special screening of the film in Hyderabad, a day ahead of its release. Many fans had come down to the iconic Sandhya Theatre to watch the much-awaited sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise.
In order to give these fans a sweet surprise, film’s lead actor Allu Arjun along with music director Devi Sri Prasad reached the venue announced, thereby causing chaos. The stampede led to the death of a woman, who was identified as Revathi, while her 9-year-old son Sri Teja sustained severe injuries.
A case of registered against the theatre owners for criminal negligence, with Sections 105 and 118(1) BNS imposed on the theatre. Allu Arjun was also named in the complaint filed by by the deceased’s family.
