Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will team up in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Love & War’. It has now been reported that the trio will reunite again for Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial. According to a report by Mid-Day, Alia has been finalised to star as the female lead, but the makers have yet to decide the male lead.
The report further suggests that the makers have approached both Ranbir and Vicky for the lead role. An official announcement is expected to be made soon. Neither the actors not the filmmaker have commented on these reports yet.
Talking about ‘Love & War’, the movie is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first directorial after his OTT debut with the web series ‘Heeramandi’.
The movie was scheduled to release in theatres in 2025 but got postponed. As per reports, the movie will now release in March 2026. It is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s second collaboration with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, as they worked together on ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Saawariya’ respectively. However, this is his first film with Vicky Kaushal.
Vicky has worked with both Alia and Ranbir before in ‘Raazi’ and ‘Sanju’ respectively. Meanwhile, Alia and Ranbir, who are doting parents to their daughter Raha, have collaborated in ‘Brahmastra’.
Alia was earlier in the news after she condemned filming and sharing the videos of her new house on social media. Calling out those who have shared the video of her home without any consent, she wrote, “I understand that in a city like Mumbai, space is limited – sometimes the view from your window is another person’s home. But that does not give anyone the right to film private residences and push those videos online. A video of our home – still under construction – has been recorded and circulated by multiple publications, without our knowledge or consent. This is a clear invasion of privacy and a serious security issue. Filming or photographing someone’s personal space without permission is not “content” – it’s a violation. It should never be normalized.”
On the work front, she will also star in ‘Alpha’ with Sharvari.
