Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan And Other Celebs Pay Respect To Deb Mukherjee

Deb Mukherjee passed away on March 14 at 83. Several celebs attended his funeral to pay their last respect.

Veteran actor Deb Mukherjee passed away on March 14 at the age of 83. For the unversed, he was also the father of popular filmmaker Ayan Mukherji, who is close to actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The couple, who were reportedly in Alibagh to celebrate Alia’s birthday, rushed to Mumbai to pay last respects to Deb Mukherjee and support their friend Ayan.

Apart from Alia and Ranbir, several celebs including Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Kiran Rao, Salim Khan and more were present at Deb Mukherjee’s funeral.

Deb Mukherjee was the part of Mukherjee-Samarth family, who are the famous film family in the industry. He is related to actors Ashok and Anup Kumar and singer-actor Kishore Kumar. His daughter Sunita is married to filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker. He is also related to Kajol and Rani Mukherjee.

He started his acting career in 1965 with the movie ‘Tu Hi Meri Zindagi’ and worked in movies like Adhikar, Do Aankhen, Karate, Baton Baton Mein, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, King Uncle and many more. He was last seen in the 2009 film ‘Kaminey’.
