New Delhi: Longtime sweethearts Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are finally set to take the big plunge. As per media reports, the couple is set to tie the knot in September 2022.
After dating for about seven years, Ali Fazal proposed Richa Chadha on her birthday while on vacation in Maldives,2019.
The Bollywood couple met on the sets of their 2012 movie “Fukrey”. They had plans to marry in 2020 which got delayed in the wake of the pandemic. Later, they decided on a date in March 2022 but got tied up with too much work.
In an interview, Richa said, “Whenever we think of getting married, a new variant comes. In 2020, we had booked places also, but the first wave came, and lockdown took place. Last year again, in February, we planned to get married but again second wave came and experience was the worst in India. Quite sad.” she told.

After working in ‘Fast and Furious 7’, Indian actor Ali Fazal was seen with star Gal Gadot in murder mystery film ‘Death On The Nile’, based on the 1937 novel by Agatha Christie. He featured as Gal’s cousin and is also one of the suspects in the film, which tells the tale of a perfect couple’s honeymoon on a cruise.
Talking to IANS about working with the Wonder Woman star, Ali said: “It was too much fun. Gadot was very sweet. I think most of the actors were very sweet and gentle…very giving actor herself(Gadot) and easy to talk.”
