New Delhi: Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar and wife Alicia Zafar welcomed a baby girl on September 24 at midnight. The filmmaker on Sunday took to his Instagram handle and shared the news. They named their newborn daughter Alija Zehra Zafar.
Ali shared a beautiful photo of his wife Alicia in which she can be seen flaunting her baby bump. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Alicia and I began our journey with love, love which is beyond borders – colour & Race , we are very fortunate that we found each other and got married. Now after almost after 2 years we are thankful to Almighty Allah for blessing us with most beautiful gift of our life. She came in our life on 24th September at midnight 12.25. Please welcome our bundle of Joy – Alija Zehra Zafar Ali Alicia Alija #Aliverse.”

The film fraternity congratulated the newly became parents. Taking to the comment section, Arjun Kapoor wrote, “Badhai ❤️.” Anushka Sharma reacted with a heart emoji. Earlier, in an interview with Mid-day, Ali spoke about his and Alicia’s love story. He revealed that their love story was no less than a Bollywood movie. The filmmaker had said that his wifey is a first-generation Iranian from France and he had gone there for work and immediately fell in love with her. He said, “I pursued her for almost two years, convincing her that I am the man who will keep her happy. It has been a difficult task, but I am glad she finally agreed.”
