Akshay Kumar, renowned for his action prowess and impeccable comedy timing, is set to revive the iconic Welcome franchise with the third installment titled ‘Welcome to the Jungle.’ As the original ‘Welcome’ marked its 16th anniversary on Thursday, Akshay Kumar expressed his sentiments in a heartfelt note and shared a behind-the-scenes snippet from the sets featuring Sanjay Dutt who commenced the shooting of the film today.
On Instagram, Akshay posted a video featuring himself riding a horse and Sanjay chasing him on a bike. Alongside the video, the actor wrote, “What a lovely coincidence that we celebrate 16 years of #Welcome today while I am shooting for the franchise’s third part #WelcomeToTheJungle. And it’s wonderful to welcome Sanju Baba in this one. What do you think?”

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ started filming earlier this month. Akshay Kumar announced the beginning of the shoot by sharing a video from the film’s sets, showcasing the “madness” of the production. In the caption, Akshay wrote, “Absolute madness of masti begins as we start the shoot of #WelcomeToTheJungle. Will need your wishes for this rollercoaster full of all things fun and crazy. #Welcome3.” Lara commented on Akshay’s post, saying, “Let’s goooooo.”

“Welcome To The Jungle,” directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwallah, features an ensemble cast including Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Sayaji Shinde, Mukesh Tiwari, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, and Vrihi Kodvara. The film retains most of the actors from ‘Welcome’ (2007) and ‘Welcome Back’ (2015) but will not feature Nana Patekar, who played a pivotal role in the earlier ‘Welcome’ movies.
