Akshay Kumar recently graced ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ to promote his movie ‘Joly LLB 3’. The episode was a laughter riot as Akshay and Kapil Sharma share a great bond on-screen and off-screen. The actor also took a dig at Kapil regarding the recent firing incidents at the latter’s Kap’s Cafe in Canada.
Akshay’s hilarious comments came after Kapil asked him, “Aap talented zyaada ho ke aapki zaruratein zyaada hain (Are you talented, or are your needs just too many)?”
The actor did not hold himself back while commenting about Kapil’s success, wealth and the new restaurant. He said, “Tu apna bata na, teen season Netflix pe kar chuka hai yeh. Usse pehle Sony pe tha, usse pehle Colors pe. Abhi do filme kar raha hai. Isne apna restaurant khol liya aur itni aamdani hai ke waha goliya bhi chali (You tell me about yours. You have done three seasons on Netflix. Before that, it was on Sony, and before that, it was on Colors. You are currently doing two films. You opened your own restaurant and the earning is so much money that shots were fired there).”
However, Kapil did not respond to Akshay’s comments.
About the incident:
The Lawrence Bishnoi Gang took responsibility for the attack, which took place in August 2025. According to various reports, the Bishnoi gang targeted Kapil because he had invited Salman Khan to the first episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3’. The actor’s name got included after an audio message allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang surfaced on social media.
In the audio message, a gangster reportedly said that anyone close to Salman Khan from the film industry will be targeted.
Another firing incident took place at Kap’s Cafe in July 2025, and Khalistani terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi took responsibility for it. He reportedly claimed that he attacked the cafe as the comedian made some offensive remarks against Nihang Sikhs on The Great Indian Kapil Show.
