Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is a Telugu fantasy action drama directed by Boyapati Sreenu. It is produced by Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta and Ishan Saksena under the banners 14 Reels Plus and IVY Entertainment. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyuktha Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty and others, and serves as the sequel to the 2021 hit Akhanda.

However, in a surprising twist, the film was pulled from its scheduled December 5, 2025 release at the last minute. Hours before its planned arrival in theatres, the makers announced a postponement.
In an official statement, 14 Reels Plus expressed regret, citing “unavoidable circumstances.” Their message on X read: “With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that #Akhanda2 will not be releasing as scheduled due to unavoidable circumstances. This is a painful moment for us, and we truly understand the disappointment it brings to every fan and movie lover awaiting the film. We are working tirelessly to resolve the matter at the earliest. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Your support means the world to us. We promise to share a positive update very soon.”
Buzz now points to 12 December or 19 December as possible new release dates, though nothing has been finalized yet.
