Adipurush Screenings: After numerous postponements and controversy, Prabhas’ Adipurush has finally hit theatres. Early morning shows at 4 a.m. in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were sold out! Prabhas plays Lord Ram in the film. Om Raut, the film’s director, had previously encouraged producers and distributors to donate one seat in each cinema to Lord Hanuman for Adipurush.
True to that, images and videos are already circulating online, demonstrating that one seat in theatres has been dedicated for Lord Hanuman. Flowers have also been placed on the seat.
Lord Hanuman’s idol placed on special seats at Adipurush Screening
Adipurush has all the potential to break several box office records. The film was released in theatres on June 16 amid high anticipation. Om Raut, the director, has been deeply invested in Adipurush since its inception. He grew highly emotional and moved to tears during the film’s trailer launch on June 9 in Tirupati.
In his address to the audience, Om Raut requested producers and distributors to donate one seat in each theatre to Lord Hanuman in honour of Adipurush.
He said, “Lord Hanuman appears wherever the Ramayana is recited. It is our belief. Respecting this belief, every theatre screening Prabhas’ Rama-starrer Adipurush will reserve one seat for Lord Hanuman without selling it. Hear the history of paying respects to the greatest devotee of Rama. We started this great work in an unknown way. We all must see the Adipurush built with great grandeur and grandeur in the presence of Lord Hanuman.”
