Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, was released on June 16 after multiple delays. The film starred Prabhas as Raghav (Lord Ram). Several netizens trolled the film after release for its cringe-worthy dialogues and poor VFX.
Adipurush had a roaring start in theatres, according to day one data. Globally, the film grossed Rs 140 crore (gross). According to Sacnilk statistics, the film grossed Rs 36 crore in Hindi, Rs 48 crore in Telugu, Rs 0.40 crore in Malayalam, Rs 0.70 crore in Tamil, and Rs 0.4 crore in Kannada. The total domestic box office collection was Rs 85.5 crore.
Despite the negative press, early projections for Day 2 indicate that the film continues to earn money. According to trade expert Ramesh Bala, Adipurush reached Rs 200 crore internationally within two days of its publication. According to reports, the film grossed Rs 37 crore in the Hindi belt.
