Hong Kong Actress Bonnie Lai Suk Yin reportedly took her own life on December 26, leaving her family in deep shock. No suicide note has been recovered by cops.

It’s surprising for many that the 47-year-old actress could take such a step, especially since she celebrated Christmas joyfully with her family just a day before her tragic death.

Reportedly, Bonnie Lai Suk Yin was found unconscious near her son, and she had attempted suicide by burning charcoal. She was rushed to the hospital, but doctors pronounced her dead. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Lai Suk Yin’s suicide and trying to determine the reasons behind this tragic incident.

Family members find it difficult to believe that the actress could take such a drastic step. Lai Suk Yin had returned home a day earlier to celebrate Christmas with her family. She shared glimpses of their joyful celebration on her Instagram account, featuring her husband and son.

However, the next day she tragically ended her life. She featured in ‘Young and dangerous 3’. Recently, ‘parasite’ actor Lee Sun-kyun also allegedly died by suicide.

Suk Yin was married to Hong Kong martial artist and stuntman Ken Lo from 1999 to 2006. They have two sons who are under Ken’s custody after the divorce. In 2007, she tied the knot with plastic surgeon Hui Chi Ching. They have two sons together as well.

“Suk Yin was close to her previous sons, and they occasionally met on family trips. Yin’s son, who was studying in England, returned to meet Yin during the holidays around two weeks ago,” said a report.

Kin’s older son is working at a hospital in Hong Kong. As they received information about Yin’s demise, her sons rushed to the hospital.
According to her older son, he had his last conversation with Yin around a week ago to discuss his kids. “Yin tone was calm, and did not sense anything out of the ordinary from that phone call,” according to reports.
