Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, known for his roles in films like Welcome and Stree 2, was recently involved in a distressing kidnapping incident that took place under the pretext of attending an event in Meerut. According to the police, the actor managed to escape after being held captive for a day in Bijnor.
Upon his safe return, Mushtaq Khan expressed his gratitude towards the Bijnor police for their swift action in arresting the five kidnappers involved in the case. In a video message, Khan not only thanked the police but also shared valuable advice for fellow actors in the Mumbai film industry, urging them to prioritize security measures when traveling for events. He emphasized the importance of being cautious, such as choosing trusted transportation services and informing close contacts about their whereabouts.

The incident began on November 20 when Khan was picked up from Delhi airport by individuals claiming to be event organizers. During the journey, the situation turned dire as the kidnappers transferred Khan to another vehicle, threatened him, and eventually took him to a secluded location in Bijnor. They also coerced Khan into transferring ₹2 lakh via his mobile phone before he managed to escape on November 21 and returned safely to Mumbai.
Khan’s experience serves as a reminder for all industry professionals to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety, even when attending public events. His ordeal underscores the importance of awareness and vigilance to avoid similar incidents in the future.
