Actor Aditi Shankar Faces Harsh Criticism Over Singing Debut At ‘Indian 2’ Launch Event

Shankar's daughter Aditi honored her father by performing a song and dance performance at the audio launch of India 2. An X-user shared a clip of him singing on stage, which is now being viciously trolled.

Tamil actress Aditi Shankar, daughter of director Shankar, received rave reviews for her performance in ‘India 2’. She danced to great hits from her father Shankar’s films. Apart from dancing, Aditi also sang songs from her movies. Recently, an X-user shared a clip of Aditi’s performance, now doing rounds on social media. Apart from Aditi, her brother Arjith, Kamal Haasan’s daughter and actor-singer Shruti Haasan also appeared in the audio release.

In the viral clip, Aditi Shankar sings iconic Petta Rap lines from Shankar’s song Kadhalan with music composed by AR Rahman. The user claimed that the video he originally uploaded to Instagram was removed due to copyright infringement.

Soon after the video was shared, many trolled Aditi’s performance. Some even compared it to Kajal Aggarwal’s Chitra Devi Priya from ‘All in All Azhagu Raja’. In the film, she is part of a singing group and is invited to sing.
