Shah Rukh Khan’s third movie of the year, ‘Dunki,’ is scheduled to hit theaters on December 21. However, an invitation allegedly from Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment – the producer of ‘Dunki,’ circulating on social media for an event in Jaipur, has been confirmed as fake by Red Chillies Entertainment. The production house released a statement on social media to clarify the misinformation.
Attached to the fraudulent circular, the statement from the production house clarifies, “A fake promotion invite from Red Chillies Entertainment is circulating for the film Dunki in Jaipur at GT Mall on 23rd December 2023. This information is entirely false, and neither Red Chillies nor the cast nor any film associates endorse it. We urge everyone to avoid participating. In the event of any official function, we will make a proper announcement.”
The fake note, complete with the Red Chillies Entertainment letterhead and logo, falsely claims that Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal would be visiting a mall in Jaipur for an activity related to the film. Red Chillies Entertainment labeled the fake letter with a “Fake News” stamp.
The story of the film is set against the backdrop of illegal immigration. It is also drawn from real-life experiences. Dunki is Shah Rukh’s third film of the year after two of the biggest hits of the Industry ever named ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’.
The film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kocchar and Anil Grover in pivotal roles.
