‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ has caught the audience’s attention with its trailer release and created speculations about its storyline. The movie stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles and it was rumoured that Akshay Kumar might make a cameo. For the unversed, both Akshay and Vidya were in the 2007 blockbuster ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. With the return of Vidya as Manjulika, fans were hoping that the ‘Sarfira’ star might return to the franchise as well. However, Akshay has completely shut down the rumours of his appearance in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
When asked about his cameo in Anees Bazmee’s upcoming directorial, Akshay Kumar dismissed it and said, “No, absolutely not. It’s fake news.” Meanwhile, the actor earlier made an epic small appearance in the latest blockbuster horror-comedy movie ‘Stree 2’.
In an exclusive interview with News24, film’s director Anees Bazmee talked about the stellar cast of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and what the audience should expect from it.
He told us, “We have a stellar cast which includes the lead actors Kartik, Tripti and Vidya. Then we have my favourite comic trio Sanjay Mishra Ashwini Kaleskar, Rajpal Yadav. Everyone, including the ones we have announced and the ones we have not confirmed, have done an excellent job. I don’t want to comment on the names and kill the suspense. I want people to go with no prior thoughts in mind and enjoy the surprises that film presents.”
Akshay earlier announced another horror-comedy ‘Bhoot Bangla’, which will be directed by Priyadarshan. Announcing the movie on his birthday, the actor wrote, “Thank you for your love on my birthday, year after year! Celebrating this year with the first look of ‘Bhooth Bangla’! I’m beyond excited to join forces with Priyadarshan again after 14 years. This dream collaboration has been a long time coming… can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you all. On the work front, Akshay will next star in ‘Singham Again’ in a pivotal role. The movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. It will hit the theatres on November 1, 2024, and will clash with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
He was last seen in the movie ‘Khel Khel Mein’ with Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor and Fardeen Khan. The movie had an underwhelming performance at the box office due to its clash with ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Vedaa’. It is now streaming on Netflix.
