Dua Lipa, a famous English Albanian singer and songwriter, recently performed at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. She surprised the audience by singing a social media banger mashup, ‘Levitating X Woh Ladki Jo’, created by Ruchir Kulkarni.
‘Woh Ladki Jo’ which was originally sung by Abhijeet Bhattacharya and composed by Anu Malik; Jay Bhattacharya took to social media to slam Dua Lipa and the Instagram page ‘Filmy Gyaan’ for not giving credit to his father, who is the voice behind this popular song. He added a post with a lengthy caption criticising the media and the singer for neither mentioning his father’s name nor Anu Malik’s for giving credit to them.

To their surprise, this post didn’t strike the right chord with the audience, as they disagreed with what Jay Bhattacharya mentioned in his post and commented things like ‘Abhijeet Bhattacharya is at fault’. They also told him to “keep crying and stop pointing out the moves that the audience did not expect in the concert”. Many people also pointed out that “this song was trending on Instagram reels only because of SRK’s iconic arm move and not because of the voice”.

Amid the controversy, DJ Ruchir Kulkarni, who was the main person behind this mashup, took to Instagram to show his happiness and say this was the greatest achievement of his life. He also posted a post of her concert, writing, ‘Dua Lipa performing on my viral mashup ‘Levitating X Woh Ladki Jo’.
