Aamir Khan is currently busy with his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par and at the same time, he’s also working behind the scenes on his dream project Mahabharat, which he will be producing according to Hollywood Reporter India. There’s buzz and according to recent reports, Aamir might also be planning a massy comeback. He is reportedly in talks with the makers of Pushpa, Mythri Movie Makers to star in a pan-India film. Mythri Movie Makers is the production company behind Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa 2: The Rule.
According to inside sources the makers wish to make a pan-India mass entertainer “As seen in Pushpa, their cinematic language includes stylized action and dialogue-baazi. With Aamir, they want to roll an out-and-out mainstream film, which will mark his attempt at a masala movie after long,” the source stated.
The film, if it happens, would bring Aamir back to the masala genre after a long time. However according to the sources he is waiting for Sitaare Zameen Par to release before he decides. It is directed by RS Prasanna which stars Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary and is all set to hit cinemas on June 20, 2025. Reports say the trailer might even be attached to Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, releasing in May 2025.
Meanwhile, fans are also waiting to see if Aamir will act in Mahabharat, a project he’s co-producing, but it’s still not confirmed whether he’ll also act in the project.
