71st National Film Awards: Here’s what Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Massey and Rani Mukerji took home as prize money

Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey shared the Best Actor award, while Rani Mukerji won Best Actress at the 71st National Film Awards 2025.

The 71st National Film Awards ceremony took place today at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, celebrating the best of Indian cinema in 2023. Bollywood and South Indian stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Massey, Rani Mukerji, and Mohanlal, were among the big names honoured for their performances and contributions.

Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey both won the Best Actor award for Jawan and 12th Fail, while Rani Mukerji won Best Actress for Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. This was the first National Award for all three of them.

Each of them got a Silver Lotus medal, a certificate, and prize money. The prize for Best Actor and Best Actress is Rs 2 lakh. Since SRK and Vikrant shared the Best Actor award, they got Rs 1 lakh each, and Rani received the full Rs 2 lakh.

Other big wins at the 71st National Film Awards were: The Kerala Story won Best Direction for Sudipto Sen, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail was named Best Feature Film, and Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani bagged the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
