New Delhi: The 67th Filmfare Awards were handed out on Tuesday evening. While Ranveer Singh achieved the best actor for the movie 83, Kriti Sanon bagged the best actress for Mimi.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer Shershaah were declared the best film. Vishnuvardhan was awarded as the best director for the same movie. Shershaah was a biographical war film based on Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra, who laid down his life in the service of the nation while recapturing Indian territory from Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999.

The film’s music album has been awarded the ‘Best Music album’ award. Tanishk Bagchi, B Praak, Jaani, Jasleen Royal, Javed-Mohsin, and Vikrant Montrose were awarded for their contribution to the film’s music.
Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar won the best supporting role actors (male and female) for the movie Mimi.
Whereas, in the critic’s category, Vicky Kushal was declared as the best actor for his brilliant performance in Sardar Udham. Sardar Udham was also announced as the best film in the critic’s category.

Vidya Balan was declared the best actress for Sherni, where she played the role of a sincere forest officer.
On the other hand, Ayushman Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui bagged the best story award, while the best screenplay again went to Sardar Udham.
Meanwhile, Ranveer shared the stage with his wife Deepika Padukone while accepting the “black lady” at the Filmfare Awards.
