Dhurandhar casting director Mukesh Chhabra on casting each actor for spy thriller
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra recently spoke about the Dhurandhar's casting. Speaking to PTI, Mukesh Chhabra said, "People had high expectations for this film. We wanted to deliver the best. We cast people who fit the roles. We took a lot of time for each casting. It took a year and a half. We considered whether Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, or Akshaye Khanna would be right. Aditya Dhar and I would sit and discuss this for two to four hours every day."

60 actors shortlisted to play Rehman Dakait
Mukesh further explained, "Initially, we also had OTT actors. For Rehman Dakait, I had a list of 50-60 actors from different backgrounds, including actors from the South film industry. However, we ultimately chose actor Akshaye Khanna."
