In ‘Lamhe’, Kapoor played the role of Virendra Pratap Singh aka Viren, a young NRI who falls in love with Pallavi, played by Sridevi. Their love story takes a tragic turn when Pallavi dies in a car accident. Years later, Viren meets Pooja, Pallavi’s daughter (also played by Sridevi), and feels a strong connection to her because she looks so much like her mother.
The film explores themes of love, fate and guilt with Viren’s emotional journey of growth and redemption at the heart of the story. With his standout performances, Anil Kapoor continues to take on roles that deeply resonate with audiences on a grand scale.
