Mumbai: Actress Tunisha Sharma, who played roles in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, on Saturday committed suicide by hanging herself on the set of a TV serial.

According to reports, she hung herself to a fan in one of the makeup rooms. She was taken to the hospital immediately but was declared dead.

“TV actress Tunisha Sharma committed suicide by hanging herself on the set of a TV serial. She was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead: Waliv Police,” news agency ANI reported.

Media reports suggest that Tunisha hanged herself in the makeup room of the lead actor Sheezan Khan of her show Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul.

Few hours prior to the shocking news, the actress had shared a video of herself getting her makeup done from the sets on her Instagram handle.

Moreover, in a Instagram post, Tunisha posted a photo of herself with caption: “Those who are driven by their Passion Doesn’t stop.”

The 20-year-old actress began her career with the historical show, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. She was also part of shows like Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Gabbar Poonchwala, Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Internet Wala Love and Ishq Subhan Allah.

She also worked in Bollywood films like Fitoor, Baar Baar Dekho, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, and Dabangg 3.
