Released in 2002, ’16 December’ focuses on Indian intelligence officers trying to save New Delhi from being destroyed with a nuclear bomb on 16 December 2001 – 30 years after the surrender of Pakistan at the end of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

The movie received a good critical reception at the time of its release, but remained underrated. This edge-of-the-seat thriller also stars Danny Denzongpa, Dipannita Sharma, Gulhan Grover, Aditi Gowitrikar, Vinay Varma, Sushant Singh, Reza, Sajeel Parakh and Sohil Mathur. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan also had a cameo role.
