While sharing some details about the gun and the scene, Suresh said, “While making the gun, we never thought about what will be the success. I made something as per Sandeep’s vision. But I never thought this would become viral. When I met him the first time, he just told me bits and pieces about the film. He told me he needed a machine gun, bigger than usual. I thought, okay, I can make it a little larger than the real ones. However, when I went through the whole story, I told him we would require at least four to five months. The gun that you see on screen has taken me almost five months to make. We started with concept designing and then went step by step. We tried to make something that is not available anywhere, so there was no reference for this. It took more than 100 people to create and it weighs 500 kg, it’s 500 kg of steel which took five months to make.”
Suresh later said that Sandeep wanted the gun to have a huge impact on the audience. “He was very clear, whatever gun we are going to make, it should be very heavy, larger than life and people should run. They should not even think, like watching that. Sandeep was happy with the machine gun and as a technician, I felt very happy when the captain of the ship, the director liked my work,” he added.
‘Animal,’ written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The film also features a stellar cast including Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Siddhanth Karnik, and more.
