WBSSC Group C, D Recruitment 2025: The deadline to apply for the WBSSC Group C and Group D posts has been extended again. As per the latest notice from the School Service Commission, the last date to submit applications was December 8, but due to technical issues, it has now been extended to December 12, 2025. WBSSC is recruiting 8,477 vacancies in total. This includes 2,989 Group C clerk posts and 5,488 Group D posts, such as school administrators, clerks, lab assistants, and multi-tasking staff.
WBSSC Group C, D Recruitment 2025: Eligibility
Educational Qualification:
Group C posts require candidates to have completed Class 12 or hold a graduation degree. For Group D posts, applicants must have passed Class 8 or Class 10.
Age Limit:
Applicants should be between 18 and 40 years old as of December 3, 2025. Age relaxation applies for reserved categories—SC and ST candidates get a five-year relaxation, while OBC candidates get a three-year relaxation.

Step 4 – Upload the necessary documents, complete the fee payment, and submit your application.
Step 5 – Download the PDF of your submitted form and keep a printout for future use.
WBSSC Recruitment 2025: Application Fees
The application fee is Rs 400 for candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories, while SC, ST, and PH applicants need to pay Rs 150. The fee must be paid online.
WBSSC Group C, D Jobs 2025: Selection process
The recruitment process involves three stages: a written examination, a skill or practical test, and document verification. For Group C positions, the written test comprises 60 questions — 15 each from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General English, and Arithmetic. For Group D roles, the exam includes 45 questions, with 15 questions each from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Arithmetic. There is no negative marking in either exam.
