UP Board Exam: The Uttar Pradesh Education Board (UP Board Exam) has announced changes in the exam pattern on Wednesday ahead of class 10 exams in the year 2023. Students will have to answer questions for a total of 70 marks, out of which 50 marks will be descriptive, and 20 marks will be objective.

According to the news agency ANI, the UP Board has said in its statement that objective questions of 20 marks will be asked in the UP Board Class 10 exam, which will have to be answered on the OMR sheet.

UP Board Exam: Fill out carefully! 

For the first time, the students of UP Board will get OMR sheets along with answer sheets. If students make mistake in filling out the OMR sheet then the full 20 marks will be deducted. So students have to fill out the sheet carefully. Evaluation of the OMR sheet will be done by computer.

Instructions regarding answering the OMR sheet have already been issued by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. The UP Board has also made available the sample OMR sheet to be used in the High School Examination and instructions to fill it on the website of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.

UP Board Exam: Examinations to start from this date

In the last session 2021-2022, the UP board examined the OMR sheet in the home test of class nine. Earlier this month, the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) announced that the UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams would begin on February 16.

As per the official notification, these exams will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 8:00 am to 11:15 am, and the second shift will be from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. According to the timetable of the 2023 examinations issued by the Board of Secondary Education, the 10th examination will end on March 3. While the 12th exams will end on March 4.

Pre-Board and Practical Exams

The first paper of class 10th will be in Hindi or Elementary Hindi. Whereas for class 12 students, there will be Hindi/Elementary Hindi or Military Science paper. Earlier on January 6, the dates for class 10th and class 12th pre-board exams and practical exams were announced. The pre-board theory exams will be held from January 16 to January 20 while the practical exams will be held in two phases (first from January 21 to January 28, and second from January 29 to February 5).
