New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Testing Agency (NTA) should release the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) – UG without any further delay, said Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Wednesday.
“The universities are already experiencing academic session delays due to COVID, and any further delays in result declaration will result in additional setbacks for upcoming sessions in several universities,” ANI quoted ABVP as saying.
The ABVP has urgently called for all educational institutions in the country to take immediate action in commencing the academic year on time and conducting examinations and other scheduled events as planned. Expressing disappointment over the prolonged disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization emphasizes the need for universities to return to normalcy and resume academic sessions. Despite the considerable time that has passed since the onset of the crisis, the ABVP highlights the unfortunate situation where several universities are still grappling with the challenges posed by the pandemic.

The ABVP urges all stakeholders to collaborate and implement necessary measures to create a conducive environment for effective teaching, learning, and overall student development
According to ABVP National General Secretary Yagywalkya Shukla, through CUET-UG, a large number of admissions will take place in central universities and other universities and colleges. “In such a scenario, it is crucial that the CUET-UG results are announced on time,” he said.
“During the previous academic session, the admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate programs continued until December, and this year such a situation should not arise. Admission procedures should be completed within a definite timeframe in all universities across the country, and classes should commence as per the predetermined schedule,” ABVP Secretary Shukla added.
CUET UG Exam, an all-India level examination introduced in 2022, involves the participation of over 90 universities annually. The objective of CUET is to ensure fairness and transparency in the admission process for undergraduate courses. By conducting a single examination, CUET aims to streamline the selection procedure and provide equal opportunities to all candidates.
