The UGC keeps changing and adding new things to their curriculum. This time, UGC has added two new subjects for the upcoming exam. The exam will have 85 subjects, while last time the exam had only 83 subjects.
Eligibility For UGC NET Exam 2024
According to The National Testing Agency (NTA) here are the criteria a candidate should meet-
- Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must have a master’s degree from a recognized university
- The subjects should include Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Computer Science, Electronic Science, etc.
- A Minimum of 55% marks in subjects as a general category candidate, while 50% for reserved categories.
- Age Limit:
- Maximum age for JRF: 30 years.
- No age limit for PhD and Assistant Professor.
