UGC NET 2023: Registration for this exam begins, check process here

UGC NET 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the registration process for the exam on December 29, 2022. The official site of UGC NET will be available to the candidates at ugcnet.nta.nic.in when the UGC-NET notification is released. The registration process started on December 29, 2022, at 5 pm and will close on January 17, 2023.

UGC NET 2023: Exam Date

The exam will be conducted from February 21 to March 10, 2023. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test Mode in two shifts, the first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.

UGC NET 2023: Exam Pattern

The exam will consist of 2 papers and both papers will have objective-type, multiple-choice questions. The medium of the question paper will be in English and Hindi only. General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in a master’s degree or equivalent examination from Universities/Institutes recognized by UGC are eligible to apply for the exam.

Jagdish Kumar informed that the computer-based National Eligibility Test (NET) will be conducted on 83 subjects. UGC has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the NET exam to the National Testing Agency (NTA). This exam determines the eligibility of Indian citizens to become Assistant Professors and Junior Research Fellows in Indian universities and colleges.
