UGC NET 2023: Phase 1 exam of the UGC NET exam to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) is starting today (June 13, 2023). This phase will run from 13 June 2023 to 17 June 2023. Lakhs of students are going to participate in it. In such a situation, students have to take care of some things at the centre for which NTA has also issued special guidelines.

UGC NET will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) in CBT mode. The exam city intimation slip has been issued by NTA on June 10 and admit card on June 11. UGC NET June 2023 exam will be held for 83 subjects. Those who qualify for the UGC NET exam become eligible for assistant professorship and junior research fellowship in higher education institutions including universities across the country.

UGC NET 2023: Guidelines

  • It will be mandatory for the students appearing in the UGC NET exam to carry a hard copy of the admit card to the centre.
  • The candidate will have to carry only a simple transparent ballpoint pen.
  • It is necessary to carry a passport-size photo and identity card to the centre.
  • Candidates will have to carry a PWD certificate for claim relaxation under the PWD category.
  • As far as clothes are concerned, wear loose, simple cotton clothes. It is better not to wear such clothes with lots of designs or frills or big buttons.
  • Shoes and slippers should also not be closed or boot style or thick soles.
  • Small sanitiser and water bottle (both transparent) can be carried together.
  • Carrying all types of electronic items like mobiles, earphones etc. at the centre is prohibited.
