School Holiday on 3 September 2025: The first week of September marked an unusual start for students across several states. Heavy monsoon rains led to the closure of schools, offering an extended break to students from regular academic studies. While some schools observed September 1 and 2 as a scheduled festival holiday, others were shut due to waterlogging, flash floods, and landslides triggered by torrential downpour.
As occasions like Id-e-Milad and Teacher’s Day are just days away, parents and students are advised to check for regular updates from their respective government and private schools. In Jammu, Punjab, and parts of Uttarakhand, continuous rainfall over the past few days has forced schools to shut down on Tuesday, September 2.
