SBI Probationary Officer 2025 Prelims: The State Bank of India (SBI) is planning to announce the Probationary Officer (PO) Preliminary 2025 result in the month of September. Once the result is out, candidates will be able to check and download the result from the official website of the bank- sbi.co.in. The SBI PO preliminary examination was conducted on August 4, 2025 to fill a total number of 600 vacancies.

Scroll down the homepage and click on “Careers”.
Then click on “Recruitment Results”.
Click on “Recruitment of Probationary Officers 2025-2026”.
Click on “Marks secured by candidates” to check your marks and click on “Prelims Result” to check result roll-number wise.
Enter your roll number/registration number and date of birth to check your marks.
SBI PO Prelims 2025 Result: Total Number Of Vacancies
Out of 600 vacancies, 500 are regular and 41 are regular backlog vacancies.
For Scheduled Caste (SC), there are 75 (Regular) + 05 (Backlog).
Scheduled Caste (SC) 37 (Regular) + 36 (Backlog) 135 (OBC) 50 (EWS) and 203 (UR).
SBI PO Examination 2025: Selection Method
The recruitment for SBI consists of a preliminary test followed by a main examination and phase 3. The preliminary test is 1 hour long and has 100 questions, each worth 1mark. The questions are based on 3 subjects, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning and Ability.
The main examination consists of Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Awareness / Economy/ Banking Knowledge and English Language and is 3 hours long with 200 marks and 170 questions. Following the main examination is a Descriptive paper that assesses the communication skills (via Emails, Reports, Situation Analysis & Precis Writing) of students for 30 mins for 50marks. The main examination and descriptive paper represent Phase-II of the recruitment process.
The Phase-III consists of Psychometric test for profiling the personality followed by a Group exercise (20 marks) and Interview (30 marks).
