In a significant announcement that will guide the educational aspirations of the country’s youth, the Ministry of Education today released the NIRF Rankings 2025. Engineering, one of the most popular subjects in India, has been the main focus of the rankings, which give preference to institutions that emphasize student development, qualified faculty, and the production of Ph.D. degree holders.
IIT Madras has once again proved its supremacy by securing the first position in the Engineering and Overall categories. It has got a score of 88.72 in the Engineering category, which is a testimony to its academic excellence.
The NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) evaluates institutions on the basis of several parameters such as research work, faculty qualifications, and academic performance. There is not much change in this year’s rankings, although IIT Hyderabad has surpassed IIT Guwahati to secure the seventh position, which is a notable change.
