New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) announced the availability of recognized PG Board specialty seats this year for preparation of seat matrix and said that National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Post Graduate (NEET PG 2023) Counseling will begin soon.

According to the NMC notification, the Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) received 2,828 applications from medical colleges for recognition and renewal of PG medical qualifications last year.

As per the commission’s report, the PG Medical Board has already decided on 1,870 petitions and the remaining requests are still being processed. Additionally, it states that NEET PG counseling 2023 will start soon based on the NEET 2023 exam conducted for Post Graduate Medical Admissions.

The broad specialty seats available with the Medical Colleges which are now recognized and approved will therefore be considered for admission in the academic year 2023-2024. It further said that medical colleges can reduce the number of seats under special circumstances and the seat matrix will be set up appropriately.

This year the NEET PG 2023 exam was conducted on 5th March and the result was released on 14th March. NEET PG 2023 Score Card for All India 50% Quota seats was just posted on the website of National Board of Examinations (NBE), natboard.edu.in. Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will conduct counseling process for admission to PG medical programs based on the findings.
