The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has postponed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 for the time being. The decision has been taken in compliance with the Supreme Court’s direction, which ordered the examination to be conducted in a single shift instead of two.
According to the official notification released by NBEMS on June 2, now the exam will be conducted in only one shift. For this, additional examination centers are being arranged across the country, due to which the new date of the examination will be announced soon.
NEET PG 2025 is a major entrance examination conducted for admission to MD, MS and PG Diploma courses for medical graduates in India. This year the exam was earlier scheduled to be held on 15 June 2025, which has now been postponed.
As per the pre-scheduled schedule, NBEMS was to release the Advanced City Intimation Slip today, June 2. But due to the postponement of the exam, now the city intimation slip, admit card and new exam date will be announced later.
After the admit card is released, candidates will be able to download it from the official website of NBEMS. After the exam, the qualified candidates will have to participate in the counseling process. Counseling for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be done by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), while the remaining seats will be managed by the state level counseling bodies.
