New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to start registration for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2023 from tomorrow (March 6). Earlier, it was supposed to start registrations on March 1 today but it did not.

Those who are interested can visit the official NTA website – neet.nta.nic.in – to register themselves.

However, NTA later confirmed that the registration process would begin in later week. Media reports further stated that NEET UG registration is expected to start from today.

NTA has already announced the exam calendar from 2023 to 2024. According to this, the NEET UG 2023 exam is scheduled to be held on May 07, 2023. Every year, more than 16 lakh students appear in the NEET exam.

The exam will be held in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu languages.

Last year, NTA removed the maximum age limit for candidates wishing to appear in the NEET UG exam. However, for admission under all categories, the age of the candidates should be at least 17 years. The age of the candidates during the year of admission should be 17 years till 31 December.

To appear for the NEET UG exam, candidates must appear in 10+2 exams with chemistry, physics, biology or bio-technology and English as the main subjects. Any other information will be able to check in official notifications.

  • Go to the official site of NTA NEET neet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the NEET UG 2023 link available on the home page.
  • Enter the login details and fill the application form.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Once done once, click on submit.
  • Your application has been submitted.
  • Download the page and keep a hard copy of it for further requirement.

Registration fee

General category students: Rs 1,600 + GST
Students outside India: Rs 8,500 + GST
Students of General-IWS/OBC-NCL category: Rs 1,500 + GST
SC/ST/PWBD/Third Gender Category Students: Rs 900 + GST
