Meet UPSC topper who turned down Rs 30 lakh job offer to pursue his dream to become an IAS; He is..

The UPSC examination is believed to be one of the toughest examinations in the country. Each year, lakhs of aspirants appear to fulfill their dream of becoming a bureaucrat and serving the people. However, only a few qualify in the examination, which is held in three phases.

Today, we will discuss Abhinav Siwach who secured AIR 12 in UPSC 2023.

Abhinav is a native of Haryana’s Fatehabad and he proved that there is no substitute to hard work and dedication. He earned B Tech from Delhi college of engineering and later attended IIM Calcutta to pursue MBa programme. Abhinav already cracked Delhi Civil Services Examination and is currently posted as SDM in the Delhi government.

He also served Fatehabad’s Tohana as Naib Tehsildar. Abhinav said in an interview with Jagran that he had turned down a job offer of Rs 30 lakh to pursue his dream for UPSC.

The UPSC topper’s father, Satbir Siwach,  is posted as commissioner in the tax department. Abhiav’s family lives in Hisar. Abhinav is married to IPS officer Ashna Chaudhary. 

The couple is active on social media . the couple posted a caption on Instagram-‘Thoda hai thode ki zarurat hai, Zindagi phir bhi yahan khubsurat hai. One dream at a time. You complete me.’
