The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination is considered as the toughest and prestigious exam of the country. Lakhs of students appear for the examination but only a few aspirants crack the examination and become civil servants in various categories like IAS, IPS, IFS and other categories jobs.
Today, we are going to discuss an inspiring person who first qualified the NEET entrance test and later cracked the UPSC examination in her first attempt with All India Rank 69 in UPSC 2020.
Meet Dr Akshita Gupta who is a native of Chandigarh. Akshita’s father Pawan Gupta served in a Senior Secondary School in Panchkula as Principal. Akshita’s mother is a teacher of Mathematics. Akshita decided to pursue the UPSC examination in her third year of the MBBS course and she started preparations for the prestigious examination.
Akshita had to do a shift of 14 hours in hospital daily. She took out time during breaks for her studies. It was a hard task for her but she managed and cracked the examination in her first attempt. She secured 69th rank in the 2020 UPSC examination.
She spoke about her preparation strategy while citing that she tore off pages of her medical books despite it being painful for her. But, she did because she had to save her time and medical science was her optional subject.
