IIT-JEE topper had shown excellent academic performance from an early age. He scored a perfect 10 CGPA in Class 10 and topped the CBSE Class 12 non-medical stream in the Tricity area of Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is considered one of the toughest exams in India and the world. Every year, thousands of students appear for the exam to get admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). To succeed, students must clear both JEE Main and JEE Advanced, which requires hard work, discipline, and strong academic skills. Only a small number of students achieve top ranks.

In 2018, Pranav Goyal from Chandigarh created history by topping the JEE Advanced exam. He scored 337 out of 360, achieving a 99.9993 percentile. He also secured All India Rank 4 in JEE Main the same year.

Pranav had shown excellent academic performance from an early age. He scored a perfect 10 CGPA in Class 10 and topped the CBSE Class 12 non-medical stream in the Tricity area of Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali. He studied at Bhavan Vidyalaya in Sector 15, Panchkula. His parents are owners in the pharmaceutical industry.

In 2016, Pranav received a prestigious scholarship after clearing the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE). After his success in JEE, he joined IIT Bombay and pursued a BTech in Computer Science. In 2020, he received the Institute Academic Award for his outstanding performance during his second year.

Pranav graduated from IIT Bombay in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Computer Science. During his college years, he gained work experience through several internships. He worked as a data analyst intern at Vedantu in 2019 and as an application developer intern at Albia Biocare, a pharmaceutical company based in Chandigarh. He also worked as a research intern at the Technical University of Braunschweig, where he focused on advanced research and data analysis.

In 2021, Pranav joined Jane Street as a trading intern, where he learned about quantitative trading, market analysis, and risk management. Since July 2022, he has been working as a Quantitative Trader at Jane Street in Hong Kong. He is involved in developing and testing trading strategies across global markets, including high-frequency and long-term trades.

Pranav Goyal’s journey from a JEE topper to a global finance professional continues to inspire students across the country.
