Himali Dabi is a successful woman in every sense. She is the mother of two daughters — Tina Dabi, topper of the 2016 UPSC exam, and Ria Dabi, who also cracked the UPSC examination and secured the 15th rank in 2020.
Tina Dabi hogged the limelight after cracking the UPSC examination in 2016 and topping it. She became the first Dalit woman to secure the top rank. She is currently posted as the District Collector of Barmer. Tina’s younger sister, Ria Dabi, also secured the 15th rank in the 2020 UPSC examination, and she is posted in Alwar as an Assistant Collector.
Very few people know that Himali Dabi is also a retired government officer. She served as an Indian Engineering Services (IES) officer and was a meritorious student during her school and college days. She attended Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (NIT), Bhopal, and earned her engineering degree. She was an outstanding student in her batch.
As per sources, she took voluntary retirement to support Tina Dabi during her UPSC preparation. She played a key role in her daughters’ careers by providing guidance and support.
Himali Dabi not only served with dedication during her career, but she also helped shape her daughters’ careers. She is a successful woman who carries success throughout her life through her actions.
