The deaths of three UPSC aspirants in a flooded basement of an IAS coaching center in Old Rajinder Nagar are making headlines. Students were angry about the incident and the silence of famous teachers like Vikas Divyakirti and Avadh Pratap Ojha. Now, both Vikas Divyakirti and Avadh Ojha have expressed their condolences for the students who died.

Avadh Pratap Ojha, in an interview with Dainik Jagran, discussed the RAU incident and responded to questions about why he wasn’t at the protest and criticized the students. He said no one was willing to take responsibility or reveal their names among those who invited him to the protest. He added that he would have definitely gone if certain people had asked him directly. After his comments, he was trolled, with one user saying, “Wow, now a teacher needs a special invitation to join a protest.” Another commented, “Don’t be two-faced; people expect more from you.” A third user said, “So you need an invitation card and 25 boxes of sweets to show up?” Many people are unaware of how Awadh Ojha became a UPSC teacher.
