JEE Main Examination is conducted by NTA every year in institutions like NIT, IIIT and GFTI for admission to B.Tech courses. This exam is held twice a year in online mode in January and April. This exam is also the first eligibility test for admission in IIT. The JEE Main 2026 notification is expected to be released in the first week of November 2025, which will also include the exam dates.
According to the NTA, the examination of session 1 will be conducted in January 2026 and the session 2 exam will be conducted in April 2026. The application form for session 1 will be available in October 2025 on the website of NTA on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Students who have passed 12th standard or will give in 2026, they can apply for this examination.
Exam dates (estimated)
Session 1: In the last week of January 2026, so that it can be completed before CBSE board exam (from 17 February).
Session 2: In April 2026, CBSE 12th exam (after 9 April) ends.
