The National Testing Agency (NTA) has given an important notice for students preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026. The examination body has instructed applicants to make sure that they have updated their vital documents well in advance of applying for the entrance, in order to lessen issues, complaints or potential rejection at subsequent stages.
As per the NTA, candidates must update the following documents:
Aadhaar Card: Must be updated with correct details of name, date of birth (based on 10th Class certificate), latest photograph, present address and father’s name.
UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities): The Unique Disability ID card must be valid, up-to-date and renewed when necessary.
Category Certificate: Candidates belonging to the EWS, SC, ST or OBC-NCL categories must review, validate and update their certificates.
The official announcement released by the NTA stated: “To streamline the process for JEE (Main) 2026, all eligible aspirants are advised to ensure that the following documents are updated well in advance, before applying for JEE (Main) 2026, in order to avoid any discrepancies, grievances or rejection at a later stage.”

The application process for the first session of JEE Main 2026 is expected to begin in October 2025 on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates should continue to check the website regularly for required instructions, updates, and notices.
