New Delhi: The Indian Army is accepting applications from unmarried male engineering graduates for the 139th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-139). Training will begin in July 2024 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, offering a Permanent Commission in the Indian Army.
Interested and eligible candidates can register on the official website before the deadline of October 26, 2023.
To be eligible for this course, candidates must either be Indian citizens or have a specific background involving Nepal, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and certain East African countries.
The age limit for applicants is between 20 and 27 years as of July 1, 2024, which means those born between July 2, 1997, and July 1, 2004, are eligible.
Candidates should have completed an engineering degree or be in the final year of their engineering program. Those in their final year must provide proof of degree completion along with their transcripts by July 1, 2024. The engineering degree certificate should be obtained within 12 weeks from the start of training at IMA.
Promotions in this course are based on years of service, starting with Lieutenant upon commission, progressing to Captain after 2 years, and so on up to Colonel and beyond, contingent on meeting the necessary service criteria.

- Select ‘Registration.’
- Fill out the online registration form after reading the instructions carefully. Once registered, click on ‘Apply Online’ under the Dashboard.
- You’ll be directed to the ‘Eligibility’ page for Officer Selection.
- Click ‘Apply’ for the Technical Graduate Course.
- An ‘Application Form’ page will open. Read the instructions and click ‘Continue’ to fill in the required details.
