The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has announced its spot round counselling schedule for session 2025-26. The window for online registration and choice filling will begin on July 10.
The spot round seat allotment result will be published on 16th July 2023. On the same date, candidates will fill the online willingness (freeze) option, upload documents, raise queries and withdraw for the seat. The document verification will be completed by 17th July 2023 and semester fee payment will be accepted between 18th July to 20th July 2023.

IIMC’s training programmes are designed specifically to be relevant in the context of developing countries, giving it a distinctive edge and separating it from other media institutions.
The institute has five regional centres in the country, offering journalism programs not only in English, but also in regional languages.
The first regional centre was established in Dhenkanal, Odisha, in 1993 to serve the Eastern region. In the academic year 2011-12, two new centres were established, one in Amravati, Maharashtra, for the Western region, and one in Aizawl, Mizoram for the Northeastern region.
In the year 2012-13 two more centres were launched, one in Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir to serve the Northern region, and the other in Kottayam, Kerala for the Southern region.
IIMC is growing to expand its programs and course outputs. Currently, IIMC offers the following postgraduate degree and diploma programmes at its New Delhi campus and regional centers:
