Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu on Monday said its flagship MBA programme has received two major international accreditations, BGA and EFMD, in the same year, a landmark achievement for the institute. With this achievement, IIM Jammu has become one of the five institutes among the 21 IIMs in the country to receive both these accreditations, and the only second and third generation IIM to do so. Director of the institute Professor B S Sahai termed it as a sign of IIM Jammu’s rapid progress in the global higher education world.
He said that this achievement is not limited to the institutional level but is also a testimony to India’s growing academic credibility and confidence on the global stage. This achievement is in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India, a self-reliant, developed and globally leading India, of which IIM Jammu has emerged as an inspiring symbol.
According to the director, the institute is acting as a bridge between Indian intellectual traditions and international level academic quality. These dual accreditations not only reflect the success of the institute but also are a testimony to India’s emerging role in the global education system.
He further said that this is not just a milestone but the beginning of a larger mission. IIM Jammu is committed to setting global standards, preparing socially responsible leaders and bringing about positive change at the national and international level through knowledge, ethics and service.
