DUSU Election Result 2025 Live Updates: ABVP has emerged victorious in the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections 2025, with Aryan Maan winning the President’s post. DUSU elections were held on Thursday, September 18. The Counting of votes took place on Friday, September 19, at 8 am at the University Sports Stadium’s Multipurpose Hall in North Campus. One of the key highlights this year was that NSUI had nominated a woman candidate for the first time in 17 years for the post of president.

Aryan Maan, an ABVP candidate is the new president of the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU). He comes from a well-known business family. The 23-year-old hails from Bahadurgarh, Haryana. His profile also highlights that he is a national-level football player. He secured admission to Delhi University through the sports quota by representing football at the national level. Maan completed his B.Com from Hansraj College in 2025. His father, Sikandar Maan, is the Executive Director of ADS Group in Beri. The family also owns the Royal Green liquor brand.
NSUI’s Joslyn Nandita Choudhary has largely focused on hostel shortage, campus safety and the demand for menstrual leave. In the Delhi University Students' Union elections, ABVP's Aryan Mann won the presidential election by 16,196 votes. He received a total of 28,841 votes, while NSUI's Joslyn Nandita Chaudhary received 12,645 votes.

Speaking to IANS, DUSU President Ronak Khatri said, "We are leveling these 'vote chori' allegations because professors are posting ABVP panel codes on their status, and there’s a thumbprint mark in front of ballot number 3 on the EVM. Vote theft has definitely occurred in this DUSU election."
As per early trends, ABVP's Aryan Maan is leading in the President's post. ABVP is also ahead in top three posts including President, Joint Secretary, and Secretary. NSUI is leading only in the Vice Presidential post.

DUSU President Ronak Khatri stated that there will be 18 rounds of counting.
DUSU President Ronak Khatri said, “Only three rounds of counting have been done so far there are a total of 18 rounds. As of now, in the Vice President’s seat, we are leading by a significant margin. For the Joint Secretary position as well. On President’s seat the margin is high but in the upcoming rounds it will be covered. And, whatever the students’ mandate is, we will accept it.” On Vote-theft issue, he says, “Yes, we had raised this issue in front of everyone. As far as the counting is concerned, we will accept the results. But if irregularities are proven, we are also prepared to take the matter to High Court and we do not have any hope from DU authorities.”

ABVP candidate for Secretary post, Kunal Chaudhary has expressed confidence in securing a 4-0 victory in the 2025 DUSU elections.
Anjali, is a student of Indraprastha College for Women (IPCW), and comes from Tajpur village in Bihar's Gaya district. She described her entry into campus politics as a gradual journey. Anjali was actively involved in the movement to reopen DU in 2022, in campaigns for women's hostels, and in the protest following incidents of sexual harassment during the IPCW fest.
Chief Election Officer Prof. Raj Kishor Sharma said “Counting was scheduled for 8 am and we have started the process. We are opening the strong room in the presence of candidates and will then begin counting on the machines. A large number of staff has been deployed for the process. Counting will take around 18 to 20 rounds depending on the EVMs, after which the result will be declared. This year’s voter turnout was good compared to last year, with a 4 per cent increase.”
Aryan Mann is the candidate for the post of president by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in DUSU elections. Aryan Mann is an MA student in Library Science from Delhi University and has been continuously raising his voice for student interests. Maan’s grandfather Late Shri Chand Mann was the head of Lova Saatrah Khap and now his uncle Ashok Mann is holding the responsibility of the head of Lova Saatrah Khap.
NSUI President Candidate, Joslyn Nandita Choudhary, said that the support shown by the students is double this time. She said, "I am very hopeful and we are going to have a favourable result. NSUI won two seats last time, and this time the response is double, and we will win all four seats."
She told ANI, "I'm a woman presidential candidate. We're demanding twelve-day menstrual leave per semester. We're demanding a safe campus for students. Students come to Delhi University from all over the world, so CCTV cameras should be installed everywhere. The number of female and male guards should be increased, and there should be safety vans. I want to prevent outsiders from entering Delhi University. I consider hostels a major problem, and I want to work on that..."
Earlier, National President of NSUI Varun Choudhary alleged that the Delhi University administration is attempting to influence the outcome, claiming that "ABVP goons" are intimidating the students on campus.Speaking to ANI, National President of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Varun Choudhary, expressed his confidence of winning all four seats, but at the same time alleged that the administration is trying to influence the election. He said, "The atmosphere is good, but police and ABVP goons are openly roaming around here, harassing students. I haven't seen such an atmosphere in my last 15 years of student politics. What is the Chief Minister's husband, Rekha Gupta, trying to achieve by roaming around North Campus? The DU administration is repeatedly trying to influence the elections by using police force. But we hope that the students of Delhi University are very intelligent; they won't be intimidated by these goons. After 17 years, university students have had the opportunity to elect a female candidate..."
There was 39% turnout and a total of 60,272 students cast ballots in the DUSU elections that were held on Thursday, September 18.
