The Delhi University has implemented a new reservation rule for admissions, effective from the 2024-25 academic session. Under this rule, one seat will be reserved for single girl children in all courses across affiliated colleges. Admission will be granted based on merit.
Delhi University Dean Balram provided this information while speaking to News24 journalist Divya Agarwal after the launch of the Common Seat Allocation System. Dean Balram stated that as a contribution to the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign, Delhi University has decided to reserve one seat each for ‘single girl child’ in all UG-PG courses of the university.
Media reports indicate that the application process for graduation courses in Delhi University will commence on May 31. The university has launched the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Admissions to over 70 thousand seats across the university and its 68 affiliated colleges will occur in two phases. The first phase will involve registrations, while the second phase will entail seat allotment. For additional details, students can access the university’s official website at admission.uod.ac.in.
The admission process for the postgraduate program at Delhi University is currently underway. The deadline for application has been extended until June 5. Admission will occur in two phases. Firstly, applicants must register by visiting the university’s official website. Seats will be allocated through the Common Seat Allocation System for Post Graduates (CSAS PG).
Following registration, the correction window will open on June 5 and remain accessible until June 12. The registration fee is Rs 200 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, and Rs 100 for SC/ST and Sports categories. CUET scores will determine admission based on postgraduate marks.
