Delhi Govt to Launch ‘Rashtraniti’, ‘NEEEV’ and ‘The Science of Living’ in Schools From Tomorrow

The Delhi government is set to roll out three new education initiatives in its schools from tomorrow as part of the Sewa Pakhwada campaign.

The Delhi government is launching three new education initiatives in its schools. This special event will be held tomorrow at 1 pm at Bharat Mandapam. The launch is taking place on the second day of Seva Pakhwada, a two-week campaign of public service and community activities launched on the occasion of the Prime Minister's birthday.

Rashtraneeti: Students will gain leadership experience

According to the Education Department, "Rashtraneeti will be the flagship program under this launch." Under this scheme, at least seven student-led committees will be formed in schools, working on topics such as the environment, anti-bullying, and canteen management.

NEEEV: Entrepreneurship to be encouraged

A program called NEEEV (New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision) will be launched for students in grades 8 to 12, aiming to develop entrepreneurial thinking among them. It will include startup-related competitions, sessions with inspirational speakers, and the formation of school- and district-level innovation councils.

"Student projects can receive financial support of up to ₹20,000."

The Science of Living: Steps towards a Balanced Life

The third initiative, The Science of Living, focuses on students' mental and emotional health. Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness will be incorporated into classroom teaching.

"There will also be lessons on cybersecurity and digital detox." Students will also be provided with hands-on experience through activities such as cleaning the Yamuna River, role-plays, and puppet shows.

In addition, the Delhi government will organize a tree-planting event with diplomats and the inauguration of 500 new Anganwadis.
